OMON tried to enter Liabedzka’s flat

10:33, — Politics

Today morning the special troop’s staff (former OMON) tried to enter the flat of Anatol Liabedzka, United Civil Party leader.

Though the soldiers were in civvies, UCP chairman recognized one of them as he saw him many times at some street actions. Liabedzka didn’t open the door.

Some days ago the politician was also visited by the militiamen. “To all appearances, the special force servicemen have been waiting long time since morning for me to come out: there are many cigarette-ends on the stairs”, - Anatol Liabedzka says.

The politician also says that today the special force servicemen in the beige-coloured bus visit the democratic activists. Yesterday’s evening the militiamen came to UCP activist Valiantina Paliavikova, when she was out. The neighbors were indignant at the militiamen’s behavior: they came to the neighbors, asked questions about Paliavikova’s private life. For this reason Paliavikova is going to make a claim.

We would remind that the United Civil Party and the Party of Communists Belarusian have planned 450 pickets for 30 September in the regions of Belarus. As the authorities banned most of the pickets, they are taking place in different forms. The participants spread the news-papers “Narodnaya Volia” and “Tovarishch”, gather the signatures against the canceling of social guarantees (it is not forbidden). The signatures will be passed to the House of Representatives the day after tomorrow.
