The persona non grata list for Europe can be extended with relatives of the authorities who are not allowed to enter the EU.
In particular, the list can include Zakhar Navumau, Belarusian Minister’s of Interior son who works as a diplomat in Geneva, and Andrei Sukharenka, KGB former chief‘s son who is now the first secretary for Counsel of Europe affaires in the Belarusian Embassy in Strasbourg.
These proposals were presented in a report of European Parliament Deputy Ms Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. According to “Belaruski Partyzan”, the elaboration of the report was induced by the Belarusian media information. The purpose of the report is to extend the list of the Belarusian authorities who are not allowed to enter Europe.
Thus, this August, newspaper “Narodnaya Volia” published articles “Where do children of high authorities work?” and “Children of country’s Administration leave “fat” and “free” Belarus.” The articles were translated into Dutch and passed with an accompanying letter for the consideration of Dutch Deputies of the European Parliament. As a result, on 11October 2007 European Parliament Dutch Deputy Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert passed a list of issues on the current situation in Belarus to the EP Commission. In particular, she touched upon the high-standing sons of the Belarusian Administration.
