«Tovarishch» and «Narodnaya Volia» counted and released 1

17:12, — Politics

Today the militiamen detained 30.000 copies of “Tovarishch” and 11.000 copies of “Narodnaya Volia”. Dubrouna militia chief ordered to deliver the news-papers to the District Internal Affairs Department.

Militia explained the “Radio Svaboda” correspondent that the news-papers were detained for “document checking” and were released in half an hour.

The bus delivering the news-papers from Smolensk, where they are printed, was stopped by GAI staff not far from the Russian-Belarusian border.

The news-papers were delivered to the Dubrouna District Internal Affairs Department. There the copies were counted, compared with the invoices and released. Maybe there wasn’t the central order to detain our news-papers. Maybe they wanted to look what was published there, what the topic was”, - Zmiter Yanenka, vice-editor of “Tovarishch” said.
