Aliaksandr Lukashenka’s working visit to Tajikistan has come to an end. The Belarusian president took part in the session of Council of the Heads of States of the EurAsEC (The Eurasian Economic Community) Intergovernmental Council and in the session of Collective Security Treaty Organization Council in Dushanbe. But there he hadn’t an appointment with Vladimir Putin, as it was announced before.
As a source in the Russian delegation has informed the Russian mass media, there were no personal meetings of Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka in Dushanbe.
“During the talks within the frameworks of the summit no questions except those in the agenda were discussed”, - the source reported.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka didn’t stay for the Russian president birthday, which takes place 7 October.
According to the earlier information, Putin was going to stay in Dushanbe till Sunday and celebrate his 55th birthday.
But on Saturday he said he would celebrate his birthday in the Kremlin.
“You know, I don’t usually have parties, but taking into account my term of office is going out this year and I have almost a jubilee, I decide to invite to the Kremlin the Member States of the Security Council, leadership of the military forces including combat arms commanders and district commanders”, Putin said.
