«Clinton’s bench» restored after vandals’ attack

12:07, — society

The restored memorable sign “From the People of the USA to the People of Belarus in Memory,” or the so called “Clinton’s bench” was installed in Kurapaty on October 31.

It was sculptor Ales Shaternik who renovated the memorial with the help of opposition activists Ales Chakholski, Mikhas Sazon and Aleg Radziuk, radio Svaboda reports.

The memorable sign installed by US President Bill Clinton in 1994 has survived 12 vandal attacks. Nevertheless, the police have neither found nor punished the criminals.
