Lukashenka: «If somebody has money – we’ll find place»

Aliaksandr Lukashenka has settled tasks of creating new workplaces in small towns and rural districts, solving problems in house and utilities sector and in the sphere of social facilities before heads of local authorities today.
“Aliaksandr Lukashenka turned his attention that Belarus will have an important political campaign next year – parliamentary election, whose providing is in the competence of bodies of power according to the laws,” Interfax learnt from the president’s press service in Thursday, summarising the results of Lukashenka’s studying of personnel matters.
A. Lukashenka paid special attention to fulfilment of his orders of land improvement during his meeting with new heads of city and district executive committees.
“I gave such a task, but they began to do as usual: ruin fences, bath houses and other buildings with bulldozers. But one needs to clear out: whether people did it lawfully or not. There are places, where people leave on the lakeside for tens of years, for centuries. We can’t be very aggressive, “ the president said. According to him, “we should take a sane view of the matter: it happens, when somebody bought a house, construct a summerhouse instead of shed, some officials say: it’s ok, if it were a shed, but the summerhouse must be ruined. At the some time they keep away of some officials who live near Minsk and other big cities, because they are chiefs,” head of state declared.
He emphasised that “control of observing the laws on environmental protection should work for people.” “Bring everything to order, but it should be done fairly. The representatives of local authorities are responsible for it. Nobody has right to erect villas and construct something near to the water. If somebody has too much money, we’ll find a place, let them build there,” A. Lukashenka noted.
According to him, the problem of resource saving is still burning. “Organise proper using of heating and electrical power. One should save and doesn’t reckon upon somebody else,” he said.
