16:04, — Politics

A happening “Kazulin’s birthday” has taken place in Warsaw University today. The organization “Volna Belarus” gave out leaflets containing information about a former presidential candidate, a Belarusian political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin not far from the library.

Students could also taste a piece of cake, but to get one you had to enter a big cage looking like a prison cell. Pieces of cake were given out there.

The leader of “Volna Belarus” Inatsi Nyamchytski informed that the action lasted from 10.30 a.m. till 1.30 p.m. and that there were a lot of people eager to taste the prison cake.

A professor Alyaksandr Kazulin was sentenced to 5.5 years of imprisonment for hooliganism and organization of unauthorised mass actions after the manifestation on March 25, 2006. More than 100 people were detained and some people were beaten on that day.
