Policemen maltreated girl for graffiti

Youth activist Katsyaryna Salaueva is to go to police department for interrogation today at 3 p.m. People in civvies detained her last night near the building of the Polatsk City executive Committee, after she drew a slogan on the wall: “Nobody can stop us! Young Front.”
The people in civvies stroke down to the ground and held her down until a police car drove up. Katsyaryna Salaueva was guarded to a police department, where a report was drawn up against her, Radio Svaboda tells.
Katsyaryna was set free only at 2 a.m. The policemen confiscated her pocketbook with addresses and telephone numbers, white-red-white flag and spray paintcan.
It should be reminded that two days before the Young Front member Ales Krutkin was detained near the building of the Polatsk City executive Committee, when he was trying to write a political slogan on the wall.
According to police report, Krutkin is accused of damaging the state property and will receive summons soon.
