Anatol Lyabedzka beaten up by people in mufti

The leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka has been beaten up today in Minsk after the protest rally of entrepreneurs.
After the rally ended on Independence Square, the politician was returning to the car together with leaders of the entrepreneurs’ movement Viktar Garbachou, Viktar Kalej and Viktar Kryval. When they parted the group of people on the square, policemen in mufti seized them. Participants of the rally saw their leaders seized, and tried to defend them. As a result, people in mufti started to beat up them.
Anatol Lyabedzka was punched on the face. When the politician kneeled on the ground, a policeman stepped on his palm and his fingers were injured.
“This all was made in a mean way. When we where on the square, and there were many of us, policemen feared to contact us. Moreover, a deputy of the “chamber of representatives” who went out to us, he promised that nobody would be arrested. But when we just left, we were seized immediately,” Anatol Lyabedzka told to the Charter’97 press-center.
Anatol Lyabedzka managed to break free, but the leaders of the entrepreneurs’ movement were detained.
7 persons have been taken to the police department of Tsentralny district of Minsk. As we have informed, applicants for the meeting Viktar Kryval and Viktar Kalej, and the initiator of the campaign “For Free Entrepreneurship’s Development”, a deputy chairman of the Belarusian Popular Front party Viktar Ivashkevich were detained near Chyrvonaya Street. A correspondent of Radio Racyja was detained on the Kastrychnitskaya Square. A participant of the meeting Alyaksei Kashkarau has been detained near the same square by the entrance to the metro. At the moment they are situated in the hall of the police department of Tsentralny district.
Vuikar Garbachou and Alyaksandr Makaeu are in the police department of Maskouski district.
