Officials invited participants of protest action to center of culture in Svetlagorsk

“This meeting is red-hot. Of course, the officials don’t know the answer to our questions. When entrepreneurs say about their problems, when people say they have disabled children, they hear only roundabouts: “You understand we don’t take such decisions, we must only fulfil them...” public activist Iryna Savastyova said to Radio Svaboda.
Entrepreneurs from Baranavichy aren’t satisfied with results of the negotiations with the local authorities. Activist Aleg Labko says:
“Head of the executive committee says “We can’t find job for all people. Pregnant women and women who have children under three years won’t receive anything. There are no working places in Baranavichy for women over 35. You can give up all hopes.”
A public action of entrepreneurs took place in Babruisk today. As Aleg Pashko, member of the organising committee on creation the public association “For Free Development of Private Enterprise”, notes, the campaign of protest will go on:
“Actions in every big town will take place within a month. It will be a chain of actions. Applications for actions in area capitals will be sent to corresponding bodies. The application for an action in Grodna on 19 December has been already sent.”
