A written blessing of restoration works of the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Hrodna has been received personally from Pope Benedict XVI by an artist and woodcarver Kazimir Misyura, an activist of “for Freedom” movement from Voranava, Hrodna region.
Kazimir Misyura is restoring the altar of the beginning of the 18th century in the Cathedral in Hrodna. Under mysterious circumstances the altar burned down on July 134, 2006.
Kazimir Misyura is greatly moved by the Pope’s blessing. “It’s the best praise for my work and my life,” he said. “I am greatly pleased that I have power for this work, that I am of use for Belarus, for the church and myself”.
