“All information is classified. Russia doesn’t know what will be with it in two weeks, we don’t know what will be with us tomorrow,” Syargei Dubavets, famous journalist and publicist, said, commenting news about probability that Putin will be a president of the ”union state.”
“If Lukashenka refuses to sign the Constitutional Act, and liberalisation, release of political prisoners, respect to the opposition and improving the conditions of media are carried out in the country, it will be a positive result of the meeting on 13–14 December. But if the events described by Echo of Moscow take place, I‘d like to make a forecast of scenario with A. Lukashenka’s quotation: “It will be second Chechnya.”
If following logic of another scenario, it will be like a strike of an axe on the head of independent society. At first people will have a brain freeze, but later it will find its expression in vigorous protest. Nation, which was thrown away from legal environment and put into a corner, has right to defend itself by all means,” Dubavets said.
