President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) René van der Linden declared that Europe is ready “to start up a dialog with the Belarusian authorities again”. “But the process is impossible to begin without the concrete positive steps taken by Belarusian side, and particularly without the discharge of those people who considered to be political prisoners”, - President of PACE stressed.

René van der Linden called the European Union “to ease the procedure of granting visas for Belarusian citizens and fix the reasonable prices for visas, satisfying the financial means of common Belarusians”.

As BelaPAN informs referring to PACE press center, René van der Linden announced it 24 September at press conference in Vilnius during his 3-day visit to Lithuania.

President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe visited Belarus 18-19 January the running year.
