Mikhail Lazavik: Two OSCE observers enough at election in Belarus 17

13:04, — Politics

Secretary of the Central Election Commission Mikhail Lazavik thinks Belarus should take a decision on limiting the number of international observers.

“Russia and we should think about limiting the number of the OSCE observer mission members,” M. Lazavik said at the press conference in Minsk. “12 OSCE observers watched election in Poland, 20 – in the USA, 700 – in Belarus. What do we need so many of them for?” spokesman of the Election Commission wondered.

According to him, if to compare the number of observers in the US with the number of electoral districts, two people will be enough for Belarus. “Well, in extreme case, some tens will be enough,” M. Lazavik said.
