Gas prices to grow by almost one third

10:53, — Politics

Prices for condensed gas for municipal and residential use and motorized transport are to grow in Belarus. Such a decision is contained in the decree No.14 of Economy Ministry “On maximum sale prices for condensed gas”.

The document envisages growth of the current sale prices by 10% for municipal and residential use and by 30% for motorized transport. Their growth is to a large extent caused by a considerable growth of prices for raw materials from Russia for production of condensed gas, and that this industry is loss-making, BELTA informs.

New prices have been defined, in particular, for condensed gas made by the republican unitary enterprise Belarusneft, Mozyr oil refinery, joint stock company Polimir and intended for selling in Belarus. The prices have been increased since January 17, 2008.
