Ruslan Alekhno to go to Belgrade

A 26-year-old native of the city of Babrujsk, Ruslan Alekhno with his song “Hasta la Vista” is to present Belarus at the song contest Eurovision-2008. The contest is to take place in Belgrade, Serbia, in May.
The mane of the winner has been chosen by a professional board after the final of the National TV music project “EuroFest” held on January 21 in Minsk Palace of Sports.
Four participants competed in the final of the contest: Ruslan Alekhno, Gunesh, and bands “Po glazam” and “Litesound”.
In line with the new rules, Eurovision-2008 song contest is to consist of two semifinals (to be held on May 20 and May 22) and a final, which is planned for May 24. the representative of Belarus is to take part in one of the semifinals.
