Belarus is interested in getting Russian loan of USD 2 billion. It was said by Andrei Khzrkavets, first deputy minister of finances of Belarus.

Prime ministers of Russia and Belarus are supposed to discuss an issue of granting a new loan on 25 January in Moscow in the frames of session of the head of governments of the countries of the European-Asian Economic Community (EAEC), Radio Svaboda reports.

Yaraslau Ramanchuk, expert of the “Startegiya” analytical center thinks the Belarusian Ministry of Finance is becoming a main lobbyist of interests of Russian big business.

“Russia wants that nothing to be done here and then it purchases our best assets at minimal prise,” Yaraslau Ramanchuk thinks.

Economist Alyaksandr Patupa pays attention to the fact that Russia gives credits to Belarus on certain terms.

”At first a considerable part of Russian investors comes to Belarus, and special conditions are made for them. And then Russia gives a loan,” Alyaksandr Patupa regards.

Politologist Andrei Fyodarau is sure, there are not only economic, but also political grounds.

“Strive of Ukraine to join NATO plays a significant role, so Moscow doesn’t want to lose its last ally and will do everything to prevent it,” Andrei Fyodarau makes forecast.
