Stanislau Shushkevich: Arrest of Dashkevich is shame on authorities
18:08, — Politics
Stanislau Shushkevich, former chairman of the Belarusian parliament, learnt from journalists the news about early release of the Young Front leader Zmiter Dashkevich.
Public and political figure defined to “Nasha Niva” his position towards that sudden but extremely pleasant for the democratic community event.
“I hear for the first time about Zmiter’s release. It’s great news. Zmiter Dashkevich is a beautiful young man, he had nothing to be put into prison for. His arrest is shame on the authorities. I think they had to demonstrate some proper acts after the events with entrepreneurs, to show a sort of humanity. Though neither this power, nor juridical system have anything human. They can find any person guilty of nothing and put him or her to prison. They are real unpeople.”
