Radzkou: Education Ministry Officials are Illiterate

13:43, — Politics

Education Minister Alyaksandr Radzkou has called upon teachers to pay special attention to formation of pupils’ culture of spoken language and writing. He has announced that at a summarizing panel of Education Ministry on January 24 in Minsk.

“Unfortunately, even inspectors of Education Ministry are writing with mistakes,” the Minister stated. “The culture of spoken language and writing should be trained at every stage of education,” he believes.

A. Radzkou is convinced that school leavers of a 12-year school should have a good command of one of European or Asian languages, “which is caused by needs of the national economy”. For example, the minister said that in the near future construction workers speaking Spanish would be in demand, however only 1,700 people study Spanish in the country.
