Debtors may be not allowed to leave Belarus

Letters requiring not to allow debtors to leave the country are allegedly coming to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. “Sovetskaya Belorussia” writes about it.
Anatol Lanin, deputy head of the department of citizenship and migration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, says, the ministry receives similar letters almost every day. In this connection Anatol Lanin called authors of the letters to apply to the court, not to the ministry.
“We are able by no means to fulfil this requirement: our “black list” of people restricted to travel abroad contains only persons under investigation, civil defendants, keepers of state secrets, draft dodgers, alimony and loans defaulters, if, I stress, a judgement was rendered against them,” Anatol Lanin explained.
“That’s why if someone refuses to repay you and going to escape from his or her duties abroad, I advise you to apply to court, not to us. And do it quick!” Anatol Lanin said.
