The last large enterprise in Hantsavichy closed

According to the order of the director of Hantsavichy plant of panel housebuilding, work is stopped till the end of October because of absence of raw materials.

Molding, joiner's and reinforcing production units, warehouse, canteen are not working. Technical and engineering employees work 3 days a week, European Radio for Belarus informs.

This year modernization of the plant and creation of 57 working places was planned. So far people are leaving the plant. There were 262 employees in January, and now there are 201 employees. In September special additional payment was given to them so that the salary reached the minimum subsistence level, 220,080 rubles.

Over the last 7-8 years all large enterprises closed in Hantsavichy. Now it is one of the poorest district of Brest region. Mass migration of people to Russia for work is taking place.
