Major Hryshchanka has made his choice (Photo)

, — Politics

Even in the general situation with Belarusian law-enforcing agencies and court system Major Maksim Hryshchanka attracts attention by his outstanding zeal in explaining the dissenters who is the boss. After the protest rally on January 10 he personally ordered riot policemen to beaten up an entrepreneur Alyaksandr Taustyka, when he was in the building of the police department of Tsentralny district.

On the face of things, police major Maksim Hryshchanka is an energetic policeman with good career prospects. Despite of his young age, he occupies the position of the deputy head of the police department of Tsentralny district of Minsk. But in today’s Belarusian situation those who work in police often are forced to make a choice.

Maksim is likely to have done his choice. Major Hryshchanka is playing an extremely active role in repressions against opposition and entrepreneurs’ movement activists in the last time.

He is an invisible participant of almost every political process, taking place in the court of the Tsentralny district of Minsk. He watches zealously that food, water or warm cloths not to be passed to the detained. It is he, who conducts instructive talks with the emergency brigade, and they note beaten and bloody people have “satisfactory condition and absence of visible injuries.”
