3-meter national flag appeared yesterday evening in the district of Pushkinskaya metro station. Activists of the civil campaign “Jeans – for Freedom!” fixed it between two buildings. The white-red-white flag was well seen from the nearest bus stops and Pushkin Avenue.
“This action wasn’t timed to any holiday. National symbols are forbidden in Belarus, they are symbols of rebellion. White-red-white flags on city streets remind people another, free Belarus, and just revive spirits of the most people who see them,” one of the action participants said.
