Slovak Embassy to Minsk condoles with the Kazulins

The Slovak Embassy to Minsk put out a special statement saying deep sympathy to the Kazulin on Iryna Kazulina’s death.
The statement stressed: “Ms. Kazulina is worthy of attention and respect in particular for her citizenship and self-sacrificing struggle against breast cancer. She draws attention to treatment of oncological diseases, the increased level of which was caused by Chernobyl Disaster first of all. “
The statement also notes that Iryna Kazulina is wife of Professor Alyaksandr Kazulin, former principle of the Belarusian State University, leader of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) and presidential candidate of the Republic of Belarus on the election-2006.
“Accused of an attempt of violent overthrowing the constitutional system, professor Kazulin was sentenced to 5,5 years of imprisonment just after the election. He is recognised as prisoner of conscience by authoritative international organisations,” the statement of the Slovak Embassy runs.
