Militia dispersed an action in memory of Iryna Kazulina in Baranavichy (the Brest Region) on 27 February.
As Mikola Charnavus, member of the coordinating council of Baranavichy cooperative market, said to BelaPAN, about 30 people came to the central city square to pay tribute to I. Kazulina. There were 10 militiamen on the square. “We planned to stay in silence with lighted candles and portraits of Kazulina. No sooner had 15 minutes passed, as Alyaksandr Sakuta, deputy chief of the Baranavichy city internal affairs department, came to us and warned of administrative responsibility if we don’t go away,” M. Charnavus said.
The activist of entrepreneurs’ movement said “the people moved to the cross to innocent people killed by Bolsheviks that is situated in the park near the city center.” “The militia followed us. In the end we were dispersed there,” M. Charnavus said.
