Yarmoshyna won’t allow to vote twice 2

10:31, — Politics

Changes in residence registration rules don’t create an opportunity to vote twice at the forthcoming parliamentary election for absolute majority of Belarusians, Lidziya Yarmoshyna, head of the Central election Commission of Belarus said to the First National TV Channel lately.

“Election commissions will control the process,” Lidziya Yarmoshyna said. The greatest group of people, who have temporary registration, and can vote twice, is students. But this variant is excluded, as students can vote only at the place of temporary residence registration.

According to Lidziya Yarmoshina, the number of other citizens, who are registered temporally, is not great, and data for them are not sent to the place of permanent residence.

“We have agreed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus that in July, before the list of voters will be made out, this issue will be discussed again,“ the head of the Central Election Commission said.

So, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to count the exact amount of temporally registered citizens near to the election. “Only after that we will say whether this number is control and whether it is really able to influence the election result,” Lidziya Yarmoshina added.
