Lyavon Barshcheuski: “We’re meeting on Yakub Kolas Square at 6.00pm 25 March”

“We are meeting on Yakub Kolas Square at 6.00pm 25 March,” head of the Belarusian Popular Front party Lyavon Barshcheuski said at the presentation of Ivonka Survilla’s book “Way” held in the BPF Minsk office on Monday.
“Minsk city administration hasn’t answered yet to applicants for the rally on Freedom Day,” Barshcheuski noted. “So, we are meeting at 6.00pm on Yakub Kolas Square. (...) It would be good if everyone comes and brings three carnation flowers – white, red and white ones.”
We remind, Freedom Day will have another route this year. People will meet on Yakub Kolas Square at 6.00pm, march along Independence Avenue, Valadarski and Haradski Val Streets, the final place is monument to Maksim Bahdanovich near the Opera House. During the action the organisers are going to lay flowers to monuments to Yakub Kolas, Yanka Kupala, Adam Mitskevich and Maksim Bahdanovich.
The applicants for the street action are Alyaksandr Milinkevich, Lyavon Barshcheuski, Anatol Lyabedzka and Mikola Statkevich, “Nasha Niva” reminds.
The appropriate application was sent to the Minsk city executive committee on 6 February.
