Journalist Syamyon Pechanko sentenced to 15 days of arrest

The journalist of “Nasha Niva” has been sentenced to 15 days of arrest by the court of Maskouski district of Minsk. The verdict was passed by Judge Tamara Unukevich.

Witnesses-policemen Zarouski and Zapechanka appeared in the court. They stated that the journalist was shouting “Disgrace!” and “Long live Belarus!”, and that the journalist had a flag.

Colleagues of the journalist state that it was a lie. The journalist was performing the task of the editorial office and covered the rally.

The press photographer of “Nasha Niva” Andrei Lyankevich is tried in the court of Zavodski district. He had been cruelly beaten up during the arrest.
