All people, detained for participation in the action on Freedom Day 25 March, were released from the detention center on Akrestin Street, where they had served 15 days of arrest.
Entrepreneur Viktar Kalei and Young Front deputy head Artur Finkevich were the last, who left the jail. Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich; its member Uladzimer Syarheeu; Illya Bohdan, deputy head of the Youth of the Belarusian Popular Party; journalist Syamyon Pechanko; youth activists Dzyanis Karnou and Paval Sevyaryn; and Vital Akimau, member of the civil campaign “European Belarus,” were released some hours earlier.
More than 100 people, including famous politicians and human rights activists, came with flowers to meet political prisoners.
Palina Kuryanovich, activist of the civil campaign “European Belarus,” stays in the detention center on Akrestin Street. She was detained on 2 April at the action near the Russian embassy. She is to be released on 12 April.
