Two weeks determined for approval of the PR-campaign for the Belarusian head of state have passed, but there is no news so far. Former Margaret Thatcher's PR adviser and Boris Berezovsky’s friend promised to help Lukashenka to burnish image of Belarus in the West.
“KP v Belarusi” decided to disturb Lord Bell.
– You know, my plan is in the Presidential Administration now. I am waiting for an answer within some weeks, Mr Bell said by telephone.
– What is your suggestion: to change image of the state or the image of the president?..
– You know, I don’t think I can discuss any questions until I receive an answer, Tim Bell said confidently.
The Presidential Administration has no information about Timothy Bell’s letter. Head of the administration and first deputy head of the administration advised journalists to refer to presidential office, where all mail addressed to the president is registered.
– What is the date of receiving? Could you spell the surname? – We were asked in the office. – There is only one Bell, he is a representative of the World Bank... Not he? We have no mail from Lord Timothy Bell.
One can only suppose that Lord Bell has sent his plan via less official channel.

– I find it difficult to say. Was a contract concluded for a month? For a year? Fulltime or a day a week? Maybe from some hundreds euro to million dollars a year.
– What concrete event may be held?
– It is not customary to tell the press what for instance, I would do.
– Well, but anyway we will see results of his work!..
– I don’t think so. The client is interested in Belarus’ image abroad, in Great Britain, Brussels... Not in Belarus! As Belarusian people hardly read Britain newspapers, they won’t see the result... Only citizens of foreign states can notice PR man’s work. It would be silly to think, a British tells you in a plane: “I’ve recently read about Lukashenka, what a good man he is!” – and you will understand everything...
