Arrests for celebration BNR 90th anniversary go on in Homel

Hearing of the administrative case on violation of the order of mass event holding took place in the Navabelitski district court of Homel on 28 April.
Sayrhei Tryfanau, activist of the organising committee on creation the “Belarusian Christian Democracy” movement, got 10 days of administrative arrest. He didn’t admit his guilt. The activist was guarded the Navabelitski district militia department by militiamen, who had detained him near his house, when S. Tryfanau was going to visit a doctor.
On 23 March S. Tryfanau took part in the historical tour dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Belarusian National Republic proclamation. 8 participants of the tour had trials on 22 April. Together with other democratic activists they walked round the town, carrying red and white balloons and visiting the city sites, connected with Paluta Badunova, the BNR minister.
As a result five participants of the event got administrative arrests of from 7 to 15 days, the other three activists must pay a fine of 525-700 thousand Belarusian rubles.
