These were the slogans of the rally of solidarity held on April 2 in Vilnius in front of the Belarusian Embassy to Lithuania.

As the Charter’97 press-center was told by a participant of the protest, an activist of the movement of entrepreneurs from Barysau Mikhail Vasilyeu, people were standing in front of the embassy with portraits of political prisoners Alyaksandr Kazulin and Andrei Kim, and a Young Front members Zmitser Dashkevich and Artur Finkevich who are serving administrative arrests for participation in Freedom Day rally, a businessman Viktar Kalej. Some of them were holding banners “Hands off from independent media!”, “Freedom to Political prisoners!” , “Freedom to press!”

Representatives of entrepreneurs and youth activists from Belarus, as well as students studying in Vilnius have taken part in the protest.

Vilnius police was not interfering with the picket. And Embassy workers were just looking out of the windows. When they saw cameras, they immediately hid from view.
