Writer Leanid Marakou created a site dedicated to the Belarusians, killed and tortured in NKVD (Main Directorate for State Security) prisons during Stalin’s repressions. The site contains biographies of 14 thousand of countrypeople.

– They are more than 4000 teachers, 3000 catholic and orthodox clergymen, 1500 medical workers, more than 1000 literary people and scientists, thousands of public and culture figures,– Leanid Marakou tells. – Such site is the only in the world yet. Search engine allows to find easily necessary people, learn destiny of your repressed relatives.

The site www.marakou.by contains the writer’s books: four-volume encyclopaedia “Repressed Literature Figures, Scientists, Educational, Public and Cultural Figures of Belarus. 1794-1991,” “Victims and Executors,” “Repressed Orthodox Priests and Clergymen of Belarus. 1917-1967,” “Salidarnast” reports.
