Dictation recorder against militia lie

13

An administrative case against public activist Dzyanis Turchanyuk was examined in the Brest district court. Judge Tatsyana Isaeva referred the militia accusation back due to “blunders and incorrect information.”

According to Radio Svaboda, Brest human rights activist Uladzimer Vyalichkin was present at the trial. He says Turchanyuk was detained on 25 April to prevent him from participating in the Chernobyl Way in Minsk.

“According to the report of militia senior lieutenant Bazylyuk, allegedly “Dzyanis Turchanyuk was aggressive and used foul language from hooligan motives.” Explanations of the militiaman’s partner were attached to the report. But Dzyanis recorded this conversation on his dictation recorder. Moreover, all papers - a report and explanations, were drawn up in Dzyanis Turchanyuk’s absence, he didn’t sign them. When the judge saw it, she referred the case back,” Vyalichkin told.
