Alyaksandr Lukashenka finds it possible to normalise relations with the U.S. and the European Union, though there are some problems between the sides.
“We don’t want to quarrel with anybody – with the East or with the West. I think, our relations with the United States will be better, there are perspectives of normalising relations with the EU,” A. Lukashenka said in Minsk in the interview to Vietnam media ahead of his visit to this country.
The Belarusian ruler noted “there are attempts to nail us down with sanctions, the U.S. has recently tried to press on us.” “But these endeavours are vain, we will find sales markets for our products,” A. Lukashenka said. According to him, “if we weren’t hindered to develop our economy, we would demonstrate even better rates of economic growth.”
The head of the Belarusian government said he was sure “we will soon build normal relations with everyone, though there are some problems now.” “I don’t see any problems in Belarus’ relations with the rest of the world,” he said.
