Chavez ready to help Lukashenka, but counts on reciprocity

Venezuela is ready to grant assistance to Belarus in the real sector of economy, and to promote cooperation in the sphere of education and science.
It has been stated by Charge d'affaires of Venezuela to Belarus Americo Diaz Nunez at a ceremony of opening of the Belarusian branch of Belarusian-Venezuelan center of scientific and technical cooperation in Minsk, Interfax informs.
“Opening of the centre would be very useful for Venezuela. On our part we have been supporting and will support Belarus in such spheres as oil recovery, industrial expansion of Belarus to Latin America. We have certain success in automobile industry, in construction. Now the time of education and science has come,” the diplomat said.
The diplomat has also noted that joint military projects in defence sphere have great importance in cooperation of the two countries. Realization of these joint projects is impossible without implementation of modern technologies and research-and-development activities.
As said by him, “Venezuela places great hopes on exchange of experience in science and higher education”. “Students exchanges and exchange of teachers is possible there. We count on wide support of Belarus in the spheres of technology and education,” Americo Diaz Nunez said.
