US economic sanctions on Belarusian petrochemical entities will affect their work. Uladzimir Syamashka, first deputy prime minister of Belarus, told it to journalists.
On 15 May the United States imposed economic sanctions on three Belarusian entities – Lakokraska (Lida), Steklovolokno (Polatsk) and the Belarusian Oil Trade House (Minsk).
“I don’t think these sanctions will essentially affect the work of these enterprises,” Uladzimir Syamashka emphasised. “Of course, there will be problems. These enterprises will need to better diversify their markets,” he said and explained these enterprises sold their products not only to the US.
According to Uladzimir Syamashka, certain preventive measures have been already taken in the country for these enterprises to work normally and fulfil indicators of economic growth.
He noted that Polatsk Steklovolokno, whose products are popular on world markets, had the largest scope of delivery to the American market.
