Newspaper print run shredded for article about Lukashenka's son 2

10:09, — Politics

A new edition of an independent newspaper “Borisovskie novosti” hasn’t been received by readers in time.

Previously the newspaper was printed in Minsk printing house “Plutos-Market”, but this week the printing house was changing its location, that is why printing press wasn’t prepared in time. The editor-in-chief of the newspaper Anatol Bukas reached an agreement with another printing house. (He doesn’t want to tell which one). A director of the printing house made the only one condition, for the newspaper articles to have more or less neutral character, Nasha Niva informs.

But on Wednesday the director of the printing house noticed a little article about Lukashenka Junior. He demanded Bukas to cross out the article. The editor-in-chief agreed and sent a new article instead of that one. But the date of the newspaper’s publication changed because of that. “Borisovskie novosti” were offered Thursday morning instead of Wednesday evening. Mr. Bukas disagreed to these terms.

Half of the newspaper’s edition was destroyed. Nevertheless, readers are to receive the newspaper. It is to be printed in “Plutos-Market” on Friday. And the article about Nikalay Lukashenka will be there.
