Is even one democratic deputy able to control executive authority? 2

9:00, — Politics

United democratic forces candidates for parliamentary deputies try to regain public control over the executive authority. It is a keynote of the address to nation from democratic candidates for deputies of the “house of representatives,” which draft was approved on the session of the Presidium of the Political Council of the United Democratic Forces (UDF).

The document will be introduced to public as early as next week.

According to UDF leaders, only if parliamentary opposition and free press exist, the authorities can’t afford to deceive electorate. That is why, as the draft address notes, “even one democratic candidate, elected to the “house of representatives,” is able to prevent lies and injustice. Presence of some deputies will allow to regain strict control over acts of the government.”

Variants of behaviour of the candidates from the united list under various scenarios of political situation were also discussed at the UDF Presidium session.

We remind, that the list of United Democratic Forces candidates for deputies is almost finalised at the moment. It may be slightly edited, but there will be no principal changes and rotations.
