13

Opposition activists Syarhei Chyslau, Miraslau Lazouski, Viktar Lyashchynski and Ihar Korsak, arrested after the bomb blast on official Independence Day, have been released today.

A 10-day term of custody has expired on 18 July. They spent this time in a special detention center on Akrestin Street in Minsk. As it was earlier informed, the four activists, arrested in criminal case of explosion in Minsk, were interrogated just one time. The oppositionists weren’t presented the accusations.

Apartments of oppositionists were searched before the detention. The grounds for arrest were nails and rubber gloves, which can be found in every house.

The people, detained on 7 July, left the special detention center yesterday. Among the arrested are students of a chemistry society. Student of biological faculty of Belarusian State University Tatsyana Pikun was released. Opposition activists Paval Kuryanovich, Syarzhuk Vysotski and Alyaksandr Serhienka were set free earlier.

Members of the Belarusian Popular Front Anton Koipish and Illya Bohdan, opposition activists Yury Karetnikau and Mikhal Sheramet are still kept in custody, in the connection with the criminal case of blast.
