Non-Belarusians appointed to military posts

Only people, who weren’t born in Belarus, are appointed to key military posts. So, a new Minsk riot militia commander is Osetian.

A new commander – Yury Khadzimuratavich Karaeu- has recently been introduced to the inks riot militia. Former riot militia commander colonel Yury Padabed is at hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affaires now. According to different versions, Padabed was offered a job in the city internal affaires department, but he refused because he didn’t want to work as a deputy of Alyaksandr Naidzenka. So, Padabed is retired at 46 years old.

Yury Padabed was one of the first people, who were banned entry to the European Union and the US for cruel crackdown of peaceful demonstrations in 2004.

The new riot militia commander is Osetian. Yury Karaeu is 42. He was a commander of a militia brigade in Homel. Before that he commanded a militia squadron in Babruisk, a battalion commander in military unit 3214. Yury Karaeu graduated from Frunze General Staff Academy in 1996.

“Nasha Niva” newspaper notes that another military structure is headed by a bob-Belarusian now. It should be reminded that Dnepropetrovsk-born (Ukraine) Yury Zhadobin head the Security Council, KGB is headed by Ukrainian-born Vadzim Zaitsau, a son of a Soviet Army officer. Minister of internal affaires Uladzimir Navumau was born in Smolensk region (Russia). Penza-born Andrei Utsyuryn is ruled by the president’s security service, head of personal security of Lukashenka was born in Russian Kurgan. By the way, CEC head is also a daughter of a soviet officer.

Distrust to ethnical Belarusians lead to a tendency of appointing people, who weren’t born and brought up in Belarus, to key military posts. These people have a common feature of being injured by USSR collapse. This situation is not changing from year to year, which is abnormal for any other European country.
