External debts exceeded USD 14 billion. Lukashenka needs legitimisation of “palatka” badly

Joint external debt of Belarus amounts to USD 14,115.6 million as for 1 July 2008, having increased by 13 per cent since the beginning of the year.
A statistical report of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus gives these data.
As AFN writes, foreign debt has increased by 3 per cent, or USD 415.7 million for the second quarter of the year, and by 9.7 per cent, or USD 1206.4 million, for the first quarter.
An external debt of state administration bodies has reduced by 1.5 per cent to USD 2005.8 million for January–June 2008. As for july 1, direct investments (inter-firm financing) have increased by 42.9 per cent to USD 726 million for the first half of the year.
An external debt of monetary regulation bodies has reduced to 27.1 per cent and amounts to USD 434.4 million for July 1, 2008.
Foreign debt of commercial banks has grown by 30.6 per cent up to USD 3358.5 million since the beginning of the year. An external of other economy sectors has increased by 11.9 per cent up to USD 7590.9 million for July 1, 2008.
It’s clear now why Lukashenka wants to legitimate the parliament today. The Belarusian economy is under a threat of collapse.
