Protocols will be passed to constituency commissions without witnesses

The head of the electoral commission of Brest-Tsentralnaya constituency #2 said to a member of the electoral commission Ryhor Bakiyevich that he would not be admitted during receiving of the protocols of precinct commissions about the results of voting.

In Mahilyou an observer Alexander Karaliou informed constituency electoral commission #85 that only police could prevent him from monitoring the process of receiving of the protocols from the polling stations.

Before this observers addressed the constituency electoral commission with an official request to be admitted to monitoring of this procedure, but the commission refused because “it was not a sitting of the commission” and therefore the presence of observers “was not required”.

Later the commission changed its answer. They stated that the room where the protocols would be passed is too small to house all observers and that the commission members had invited a number of international observers there, that’s why there wouldn’t be enough space for domestic observers.

“What does it mean, there would not be enough space?” asks Alexander Karaliou. “Some observers are admitted, whereas others are not. I told members of the electoral commission that only detention by the police could prevent me from attending this procedure,” “Human Rights Activists for Free Elections” inform.
