On September 29 the mission of OSCE observers at the “parliamentary elections” in Belarus has made a statement about a wrong interpretation of statements of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Director Janez Lenarcic by Belarusian TV channels.
“Yesterday (on September 28) Belarusian TV channels BT and ONT showed the speech of the OSCE/ODIHR Director Janez Lenarcic, according to which Mr Lenarcic allegedly said that long-term observers of the OSCE/ODIHR “haven’t found any serious violations”. In reality, Mr Lenarcic said that observers “found serious shortcomings in the pre-election period,” the statement said.
The OSCE/ODIHR observation mission is to present results and conclusions of its work during observation of the “parliamentary election” in Belarus on September 29 at a press-conference in Minsk.
