After protest rally on October Square Franak Vyachorka and Moladz BNF beaten up

12:49, — Politics

On September 28 right after the protest rally against rigged election results, four active participants of the rally were beaten up. One of the leaders of the Moladz BNF (The Belarusian Popular Front youth branch) Franak Vyachorka was among them.

Franak Vyachorka has told about that to the Charter’97 press-centre himself.

“Stsyapan Sviderski, Anton Kalinouski, Katsyaryna Bychak and I were on our way back from the rally. At the crossing of Bahdanovcih and Nekrasov Streets at about 10.30 p.m. five bobbed heavily-built men attacked us and started to beat us. I was kicked on the back and my head was punched, Anton was knocked down on the fround,” the young leader said.

The unknown snatched flagpoles of streamers and started to beat the opposition activists with their help.

“We managed to run away, But our bags with streamers were seized from us,” Franak Vyachorka said.

As we have informed, a few hours earlier in Vitsebsk the unknown beat a photojournalist, a former editor-in-chief of an independent newspaper “Vitsebskiy Kurjer” Uladzimir Bazan.
