Regional activists of the civil campaign “European Belarus” have carried out rallies dedicated to the Independence Day.

National flags were hanged out in Salihorsk in the centre of the city near “Alesya” hotel. Besides, white-red-white flags appeared in Maladzechna on Lenin Square and in Lida in Rybinouski Street, f-fight.org informs.

In recent months the white-red-white flags which are banned by the regime, are seen over the high buildings f Minsk more and more often. The national symbols are observed in the regions of Belarus more often too.

As we have informed, from April 14 to May 14 in the run-up to the anniversary of the referendum, which changed the national symbols of Belarus, the first large-scale campaign with a demand to legalize the white-red-white flag was carried out. National flags appeared in the centre of Minsk every day. Since June 14 the action continued. Now the flags are to appear over the city constantly until the authorities lift the ban for their public use and return the status of the national symbol to the white-red-white flag. Besides, as activists of the “European Belarus” civil campaign state, white-red-white flags are to emerge in other Belarusian cities.
