Brest dwellers assure UFO flying over town

Many Brest dwellers could see an unusual thing on September 1 – an unidentified flying object giving of bright light was flying above the town for an hour.
Mikalai Lulkovich, a locomotive shop foreman, was among the first to notice the object. It looked like an egg, which size was equal to a passenger jet. He was sparkling in the sun with bright silver light and revolving about its axis. The UFO let down sometimes and then went up. Mikalai told his colleagues about this unusual thing.
“It was about eight kilometres from us,” the witness told Interfax. “When we began to look it through binoculars and tried to take picture of it, it suddenly fly away. By the way, it moved ten times faster than a plane.”
The UFO was flying over Brest for an hour and then disappeared in a northern direction.
Viktar Haiduchyk, the director of the Brest office of the Belarusian Ufological Committee, explained journalists an unusual burst of anomalies was recorded in late August. UFOs were seen in Minsk, Lida, and later in Brest. More than 30 saucers have been noticed this year (there were only 10 such cases in 2008).
A comment by www.charter97.org: the UFO is more likely to be connected with the Russian-Belarusian military exercises and work of the joint air defence system on the border with NATO.
