A draft law on responsibility for violation of Decree on Internet has been prepared in Belarus

It is planned to introduce administrative responsibility for violation of provisions of Decree No.60.

Head of a Sector of Operative and Analytical Center under Administration of the President of Belarus Siarhei Krautsou informed about it on October, 25.

“Such draft law has been drawn up and brought to the Government for further introduction to the House of Representatives”, “Interfax-West” agency quotes the words of Krautsou.

Decree No.60 presupposes the ban for economic entities of Belarus to use information networks, systems and resources located abroad while rendering services to Belarusian citizens. The Decree introduced other limitations which considerably complicated the life of Belarusian Internet users, Electroname.com reminds.

Until recently the majority of Belarusians ignored the requirements of the new legislation, not in the last turn because of the fact that there was no responsibility stipulated for its violation. As a result of the enactment of the new draft law tens of thousands of Belarusians working in the Net may be punished.
