Lukashenka: Enemies are all around, and I won’t free hostages

Alyaksandr Lukashenka, who is holding the position of the president of Belarus by force, has stated that he would not free the hostages.

“If you are an active participant of mass riots, the investigation and the court will deal with you. On the whole, the destiny of the ex-candidates, the detained militants, those who smashed things up, they decide their own destinies,” Lukashenka stated on Thursday answering questions of Interfax-Zapad agency.

The usurper stressed that the Belarusian authorities would not tolerate any demands or ultimatums from the West.

“We will not accept any ultimatum anymore. If they put forward some unacceptable conditions, we will reject them too,” Lukashenka said.

“As for the detainees, if it would be possible to release them in the framework of the investigation and the criminal case, we do not need them there.”

The dictator did not like the conduct of the West during the presidential election in Belarus either. He said in particular: “they (OSCE observers) came to Belarus with the text they had written before, and frankly speaking, I had read this text a month before the election was held.” “The election had not started, and they had written that text. And they sounded that text,” the president said. “They needed a cover, they needed to find something to justify this negative evaluation,” Lukashenka said, meaning the influence of the events of December 19 on the OSCE report. “But it happened after the election. And secondly, what does it have to do with the voting, for example?” the dictator said.

“The major lesson I have learnt is that they (the West) do not want us at all. They want to see us weak. The weak will never be successful. They respect only strong countries. We will not be weak,” the usurper stressed. “That is why we could have certain problems with them.”

“When I am told about the West, I absolutely do not trust the West now. Most likely, they were trying to lull me and every one of us. And now we see their true face,” Lukashenka tried to explain non-recognition of the rigged election.

Besides, he added that “nobody, be it Russia, Poland or Germany, needs another successful sovereign and independent state. We need it. This is the source of the major disagreements,” Lukashenka said. “One can always find a pretext and even a reason to bend our country,” the dictator said.

As said by him, Belarus “can count only on itself. They will never love us. We were lucky to defend the country and to wake up in a country we are masters of. We see development prospects. It is the key achievement of the year,” said the Belarusian ruler.
