Belarusian dictator falsifies own biography (Video, photo)

The Belarusian television says Lukashenka was born on August 31, a day later.

Those who are interested in politics regard as a common thing that fact that Belarusian ruler’s statements are often contradictory. There’s even a joke: Lukashenka is a man of his word, he gives the word and takes it back whenever he wants. Everyone got used to rigging election results by Lukashenka, but tricks with own date of birth look more than ridiculous, UDF.BY writes.

Perhaps every Belarusian knows that Alyaksandr Lukashenka was born in the village of Kopys August 30, 1954. This date was written in voting ballots at presidential elections and in schoolbooks. Lukashenka’s official biography on his website contained the same information.

The first time when Alyaksandr Lukashenka tried to change his date of birth was an interview to Alexander Prokhanov, the editor of Russian newspaper “Zavtra” in June last year.

“You can understand, I am a human being, too. I’ve got children, I adore my younger son Kolya. He is five years old, and I am fifty five. We were born on the same day, August 31,” the Belarusian ruler said.

Not given much attention then, these words were considered a slip of the tongue. But what was the surprise when a news presenter on ONT channel said in “Nashi Novosti” programme that Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his younger son celebrated their birthdays on August 31.

Not believing their ears, journalists referred the official source, namely the website of the Belarusian ruler, and didn’t believe their eyes. As said in the biography, “Lukashenka was born on the 31th of August, 1954, in the settlement of Kopys, Orsha district, Vitebsk region.”

Even the pro-presidential information agency BelTA failed to change the biography in time. According to BelTA website, Lukashenka’s birthday is August 30.

Even close friends of the Belarusian ruler didn’t expect such a catch – Patriarch Kirill I, Gennady Zyuganov, and others sent their greetings to Lukashenka on August 30.

It remains remained unclear: whether the change was caused by great love to the younger son (a tail as Lukashenka calls him) or it is just a means of economy. Marking two birthdays on one day saves money.
